Innovative UAV-mounted radar system optimized for agrichemical soil analysis using broadband dielectrics spectroscopy and machine learning. Achieves high accuracy in measuring soil nutrients and parameters, enabling efficient large-scale soil monitoring.
Mapping Soil presents a cutting-edge radar system designed for non-invasive agrichemical soil analysis. This novel technology integrates advanced signal transmission and spectral analysis hardware with proprietary IoT software and machine learning algorithms. The system is tailored to optimize broadband dielectrics spectroscopy for precise measurement of soil nutrients, acidity (pH), soil organic matter (SOM), and other vital parameters. Deployed on UAVs, it facilitates efficient topsoil spectral data collection up to 20 cm depth, covering approximately 80 hectares per day.
Currently at TRL 5, this radar system has been tested successfully in controlled environments. Future validation will focus on increasing accuracy and achieving TRL 7 through extensive fieldwork and pilot projects across Europe, aiming for ISO 17025 certification to demonstrate commercial viability.
Mapping Soil provides high-resolution soil intelligence designed to optimize fertilization and promote sustainable farming practices. The company utilizes proprietary sensors to collect topsoil data, which is then processed by AI-powered software to generate granular nutrient maps. By delivering laboratory-level accuracy in a non-invasive manner, the platform enables farmers and agronomy service providers to identify nutrient variability at a resolution of 100 square meters. This approach allows users to generate variable-rate application maps that integrate directly with precision farming machinery. By facilitating precise, site-specific nutrient dosing, the technology helps farmers reduce input costs, improve nutrient use efficiency, increase crop yields, and mitigate ecological pressure on agricultural land.
