EarthOptics offers TruNutrient™, a service that combines soil sampling and proximal sensing to create high-resolution soil maps. This enables precise nitrogen application, reducing fertilizer use and environmental impact while enhancing crop yields.

Overview

EarthOptics presents TruNutrient™, an innovative service that leverages traditional soil sampling and cutting-edge proximal sensing to produce detailed soil attribute maps. By utilizing a combination of the GroundOwl™ System and TruNutrient™ service, farmers can generate variable rate technology (VRT) prescriptions for nitrogen applications. This allows for precise nutrient application, minimizing excess fertilizer use and enhancing crop yields. The solution integrates seamlessly with existing agricultural platforms like John Deere Ops Center and Climate FieldView.

Technical specifications
  • TruNutrient™ Service: Utilizes a 5-acre equivalent grid for soil sampling, ensuring comprehensive data collection.
  • GroundOwl™ System: Conducts field scanning to characterize variability within days.
  • VRT Prescriptions: Customizable to integrate with popular agricultural systems.
  • Data Delivery: Results are accessible through the EarthOptics platform, offering downloadable PDFs and exportable nutrient prescriptions.
  • Sampling Models: Offers flexibility through internal technicians, dealer-based, and self-serve models for data collection.
Technology readiness level

Having reached Technology Readiness Level 9, TruNutrient™ and the GroundOwl™ System are fully operational and commercially available. The service has been validated through field trials, demonstrating significant reductions in nitrogen applications and improved crop performance.
