Siox-based inner barrier solution for fibre-based packaging

We are developing an aluminium-free high-barrier paper solution based on SiOx coating technology as a potential inner barrier approach for fibre-based packaging.

Under current lab conditions, our material has shown:

• WVTR below 2 g/m²·24h
• OTR below 5 cc/m²·24h
• Heat-sealing capability
• Good printability

We are currently working to further improve the barrier performance of this material in order to meet more demanding application requirements.

We believe this SiOx-based approach may be a relevant candidate for further evaluation in recyclable fibre-based packaging applications. Sample rolls are available for assessment.

Some key application-specific aspects, including recyclability, seal strength, and compatibility with liquid detergent formulations, are still pending further validation. We are open to co-development and technical collaboration to assess fit against target performance requirements.
