Developing a digital platform for intelligent monitoring, control, and optimization of edible oil refining processes using AI and IoT technologies. This platform automates data collection and integrates real-time analysis and regulation of refining stages.

Overview

This innovative digital platform aims to revolutionize edible oil refining by integrating smart process monitoring, control, and optimization technologies. Leveraging AI-driven tools and IoT systems, the platform acts as a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) unit to automate and enhance the regulation of key refining processes. It facilitates the real-time measurement of physicochemical properties such as Free Fatty Acids (FFAs) and oxidation levels, as well as physical properties like density, refractive index, and smoke point. This automation enables improved production efficiency, operational transparency, and better quality control through a centralized online dashboard.

Technical specifications
  • Automated data acquisition: Incorporates industrial sensors for measuring critical properties like FFAs, oxidation levels, density, refractive index, and smoke point.
  • AI-driven optimization: Utilizes real-time data to optimize production processes and improve throughput.
  • SCADA integration: Provides a central information processing unit for real-time monitoring and control.
  • Online dashboard: Offers transparent operational insights and feedback control loops for efficient regulation.
Technology readiness level

Currently at Technology Readiness Level 5, this platform has been validated in a relevant environment and is ready for further development and testing. Future plans include the development of a prototype using cutting-edge industrial instrumentation and AI-driven software tools.
