Introducing Supercream – Ice Cream Powered by Eggs. Presented by the American Egg Board, Supercream is a first-of-its-kind ice cream innovation crafted with whole eggs to deliver unmatched richness, smooth custard-like texture, and the most protein per pint available on the market today.
This premium, high-protein ice cream delivers clean, additional protein (80 grams per pint - double what's on the market today!) while maintaining the creamy, indulgent eating experience consumers expect.
Why Now? • Consumers aren't looking for healthier ice cream. They're looking for premium ice cream that gives them a better reason to indulge. • Consumers are blending indulgence with better-for-you choices. 52% of ice cream buyers alternate between full-calorie and better-for-you products rather than choosing one or the other. • Premium ingredients drive trade-up. Consumers willingly trade up for products that deliver a more premium eating experience with quality ingredients, especially at home. • Protein is reshaping dairy. Full-fat dairy continues to outperform many traditional dairy segments, regaining momentum with consumers as driven by high protein levels. • Functional ice cream is emerging and unsaturated. There’s continued interest in health-oriented frozen treats. The market is shifting toward products that deliver both enjoyment and wellness.
At this stage, the American Egg Board is looking to connect with potential commercialization partners to bring Supercream to market.
The American Egg Board (AEB) was established by an Act of Congress in 1976 to support U.S. egg farmers by pooling resources for national marketing efforts. It is the official organization behind The Incredible Egg and Egg Nutrition Center, focusing on increasing egg demand through research, consumer education, and promotional campaigns. The AEB is governed by a board of 36 egg farmers, representing the diversity of the industry, and is located in Chicago, Illinois. It is entirely farmer-funded, with no government or tax dollars involved. The organization conducts market development, consumer marketing, and nutrition research, contributing to increased egg consumption and exports.
