WHAT IT IS: ThermalCore is a drop-in replacement for the standard screw-in resistive heating element of electric water heaters, boilers, and heated industrial tanks. Inside a sealed module, computing chips run immersed in dielectric oil; the surrounding water carries away their heat. The water is heated exactly as before — but the same kilowatt-hour performs paid computation (blockchain compute today; batch AI/render workloads as fleets scale) on its way to becoming hot water. Electric resistance heating is already 100% efficient; ThermalCore makes the same electricity do two jobs.
WHY IT MATTERS: Water heating is one of the largest electric loads in buildings (~4,500 kWh/yr per U.S. home; far more in commercial recirculation loops, heated process tanks, pools, spas, and aquaculture). Compute revenue offsets some or all of that bill — turning a pure cost center into an income-producing appliance, with no change to the user's hot-water experience. For OEMs it creates a premium differentiated SKU and a retrofit product that installs into the existing element port of tanks already in the field.
HOW IT WORKS: The module threads into the standard element port (NPT). Filed embodiments include a rigid screw-in module; a flexible "snake" conduit that passes through a 1-inch port and maximizes immersed surface area; a buoyant-tip geometry; a serviceable dry-well sleeve; a hybrid backup resistive coil guaranteeing hot water; a forced-circulation impeller; and a fleet/demand-response controller for grid-interactive operation. Best-fit applications hold temperature around the clock (industrial parts washers, multifamily recirculation, aquaculture, pools/spas), letting the module compute continuously.
PROOF TO DATE: U.S. utility patent application No. 19/738,412, "Immersion Computing Module for Liquid-Heating Appliances," filed July 11, 2026 (six embodiments; international filing window open to July 2027). Immersion cooling of compute hardware in dielectric fluid is industrially proven at scale; ThermalCore packages it into the universal heating-element form factor. Physics, unit economics against public $/kWh compute benchmarks, market analysis, renders, and an investor business plan are public at https://thermalcore.energy (non-confidential one-pager: https://thermalcore.energy/onepager.pdf).
NEXT STEPS / PARTNERING: Seeking an established manufacturer or distributor to design, engineer, and commercialize under license with a royalty to the inventor — licensing, co-development, or a funded pilot. Bench prototype build is scoped (trailing-edge ASIC hashboards in oil-filled stainless tube). Inventor is a licensing-experienced patent filer; responsive and ready to move quickly with the right partner.
