Company

XKE-Nano is a PFAS-free, water-based acrylic copolyester barrier platform offering exceptional resistance to high temperatures. It is fully repulpable, compostable, and compatible with existing high-speed industrial coating processes, enhancing packaging sustainability.

Overview

XKE-Nano™ is a cutting-edge barrier technology designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable and high-performance packaging solutions. This PFAS-free, water-based acrylic copolyester platform provides exceptional resistance to extreme temperatures, ensuring integrity under conditions such as 150°C hot oil and 100°C boiling water. As a fully repulpable and compostable solution, XKE-Nano replaces traditional plastic liners while maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting circular economy initiatives.

Technical specifications
  • Nanostructured dispersion: Engineered via controlled polymerization, achieving ultra-narrow molecular weight distribution (PDI < 1.05) for a dense, flawless film.
  • High resistance: Withstands 150°C hot oil and 100°C boiling water without delamination for days, validated by SGS and DIN CERTCO.
  • Industrial compatibility: Low viscosity (12-25 cps) and high solids (~40%) allow for high-speed industrial coating applications (>100 m/min).
  • Environmental benefits: Fully repulpable (A-Level) and dual-certified compostable (EN13432, AS5810), achieving a 98/100 recyclability score.
Technology readiness level

XKE-Nano is currently at TRL-8, with commercialization already underway in EU and Australia packaging markets. It is ready for rapid validation and roll-out, with plans for pilot production and optimization on existing industrial equipment.
