Barcelona-based biomedical research institute with shared core technologies, advanced genomics and imaging facilities, a technology-transfer office, and a base in the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park. Its proximity to Hospital del Mar and Pompeu Fabra University enables close research, clinical, and industry connections.
The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international, non-profit biomedical research institute in Barcelona, with roughly 480 staff and a highly collaborative, discovery-driven character. It is embedded in the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park, a shared scientific hub that brings research centres, technical services, and an attached university hospital into one setting. This ecosystem, together with CRG’s core technology platforms and links to universities, hospitals, companies, and research organisations, gives corporate R&D teams routes to specialized expertise, infrastructure, and partnership. Research is supported by the Government of Catalonia, Spain’s Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, European Union programmes, and competitive external funding. A dedicated Technology and Business Development Office supports IP, licensing, and spin-off creation.
