Covenant University

Covenant University is a growing, mid-sized private Christian research university in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, with an innovation-oriented institutional character. Its Centre for Research, Innovation and Discovery provides a formal interface for corporate, governmental, and research-institution partnerships. An Industry Partnership Unit supports structured engagement through memoranda of understanding and collaborative research, teaching, and community activities. Commercialization is reinforced by an Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office, Commercialisation Unit, and Research Park Unit, creating pathways from protected ideas to licensed technologies and startup formation. Funding combines university and industry support with competitive awards from the World Bank, the U.S. National Institutes of Health, and Nigeria’s Tertiary Education Trust Fund.
