Missouri Western State University

Missouri Western State University is a comprehensive public university designated by Missouri statute as the statewide institution of applied learning and serving the Kansas City–St. Joseph region. Industry engagement is embedded through internships, industry-sponsored projects, and short-course upskilling delivered via a dedicated workforce training center. On campus, the Christopher S. “Kit” Bond Science and Technology Incubator provides shared laboratory and entrepreneur space, and the location places partners inside the Kansas City Animal Health Corridor. Research and workforce initiatives are supported by competitive federal and state funding, including National Science Foundation awards and workforce programs. The incubator and regional partners offer pathways for sponsored research, prototyping, and startup formation.
