Budapest-based university of technology and economics with a University Research and Innovation Center, specialized laboratories, three regional science and innovation parks, and dedicated technology-transfer support. Its practice-oriented model links research, talent, and industry across Hungary.
Obuda University is a practice-oriented university of technology and economics in Budapest, with more than 12,000 students, seven faculties, and a multi-campus presence in Hungary. Its University Research and Innovation Center provides applied-research infrastructure and high-value laboratory capabilities, while project-based education and cooperation with companies, research sites, and laboratories create direct routes for corporate engagement. Three regional science and innovation parks in Zsámbék, Székesfehérvár, and Kaposvár extend this model into local industrial ecosystems, supporting shared research, demonstration, education, and incubation. Research is supported through competitive Hungarian and European funding, including programs associated with the Hungarian National Research, Development and Innovation Office and the European Union. The Innovation Office and Initium Venture Labs support intellectual-property management, technology transfer, venture creation, and industry partnerships.
