Southern Utah University

Southern Utah University is a regional public university in Cedar City that pairs undergraduate and master’s education with applied research and workforce development for the Intermountain West. Industry partners engage through airport-adjacent aviation training facilities, campus maker and prototyping spaces, and industry-sponsored capstone projects. Proximity to public lands and to regional healthcare and outdoor product employers enables field testing, community-based studies, and internship pipelines in rural and mountainous settings.
