Private university in Aracaju, Brazil, with a co‑located research institute (ITP), on‑campus health specialties complex, the emerging Tiradentes TechPark, and an innovation center. Joint work with state and industry bodies brings companies onto campus for collaborative R&D.
Universidade Tiradentes (Unit) is a comprehensive private university headquartered in Aracaju, Sergipe, serving Northeast Brazil through multiple campuses and distance‑education hubs. Industry engagement is anchored by the co‑located Instituto de Tecnologia e Pesquisa (ITP) and the Tiradentes Innovation Center—providing applied R&D space, labs, and startup incubation—plus an on‑campus health specialties complex that enables clinical training and partnerships. A new Tiradentes TechPark, developed with state and industry partners and financed by FINEP, is bringing company units and R&D teams onto the Farolândia campus while complementing ties with Sergipe’s technology park. Research is supported by competitive Brazilian federal funding, including FINEP, CAPES’ graduate‑program system, and CNPq scholarships. Technology transfer is coordinated through Agitec, the ITP‑linked office for IP protection and innovation services.
