University of Moratuwa

University of Moratuwa is a public technological research university in Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, with more than 400 academic staff and a professionally oriented, industry-responsive character. Its Office of Research supports funding, research administration, multidisciplinary collaboration, industry-linked laboratories, technical facilities, engineering design, and consultancy. The Enterprise technology transfer unit gives companies a structured route to sponsored research, IP protection, licensing, commercialization, startup incubation, and university–business alliances. Research is supported by internal grants and national agencies including Sri Lanka’s National Science Foundation and National Research Council, alongside international partners. This model gives corporate R&D teams a practical interface for engaging faculty expertise and moving innovations toward application.
