Yamaguchi University

Yamaguchi University is a comprehensive national research university in western Japan, with more than 10,000 students and a broad, regionally engaged mission. Three campuses, including engineering and medical sites in Ube, combine shared research facilities with a 756-bed university hospital, giving companies access to technical expertise and clinical environments. The university’s Innovation Commons vision and industry-academia-government model connect companies, public agencies, and communities with university capabilities through joint research, commissioned research, academic guidance, and internships. Research draws on competitive national funding, including MEXT, JSPS, JST, and AMED programs.
