I hold a PhD in Medical Biochemistry from Uppsala University and a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Meharry medical College. I have broad expertise in biochemistry, molecular parasitology and molecular and cellular biology, cancer biology and cellular signaling including calcium signaling in cancer. My laboratory at Meharry studies mechanisms underlying the aggressiveness and drug resistance of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), and interested in research on molecular target driven cancer drug resistance, extracellular vesicles in cancer progression and drug resistance and mechanisms of invasive/aggressive cancer progression.
