My research centers on the molecular epidemiology and genetic characterization of microbial pathogens, driving advancements in diagnostic technologies and vaccine development. I have led multiple projects aimed at developing, validating, and optimizing molecular diagnostic assays, ranging from traditional PCR to cutting-edge Nanopore sequencing. My work emphasizes enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of molecular diagnostics, with a particular focus on reducing turnaround times and increasing assay sensitivity and specificity, contributing to more reliable and rapid pathogen detection.
