Orthopedic Biomechanics and Soft Tissue Biomechanics: Experience in biomechanical characterization and modeling of soft tissues, hard tissues, joints, and whole bodies using tensile testing compression testing, multiaxial testing, motion capture, and modelling. Development of novel mathematical biomechanical models of animals for pre-clinical biomechanical studies. Capabilities include custom testing platforms, complex experimental mechanical loading and multiaxial analysis of tissues joints and implants, motion capture, OpenSim. Medical Device Design: Experience in design and evaluation of medical devices, including implantables. Particularly orthopedic devices, but also surgical and cardiovascular devices to a lesser extent. Knowledge of FDA regulations (21 CFR 820, 58, etc.).
