I am leading an R01 grant related to a randomized clinical trial, Atenolol for the Prevention of Osteoporosis, to discover the molecular mechanisms underlying the bone effects of atenolol as well as the genetic and molecular determinants of treatment response and tolerability. In another line of research, I am investigating the epidemiology and co-pathology of dementia and osteoporosis. More generally, I perform independent and collaborative research in biostatistics and bioinformatics.
