About
Research investigates how inflammatory and epigenetic programs control osteoclast/osteoblast function across skeletal sites and aging, using single-cell genomics and imaging to inform targeted therapies for musculoskeletal regeneration. This work is complemented with studies focused on bone marrow regeneration using pre-clinical models and transcriptomic approaches evaluating human bone marrow specimens. We use single cell sequencing to evaluate biomarkers that associate with bone marrow regeneration, with an examination of the impact of age and/or sex within this context. A parallel line of research is exploring cellular and molecular mechanisms governing differences in bone marrow regeneration between men and women.
