Plant defenses against insects and their responses to chemical defenses
About
We study how plants defendagainst insect attack, specifically in corn and soybean crops. Chemical defenses are very important to control insect damage, specifically flavonoids and proteases inhibitors. These defenses are upregulated after insect damage, and decrease insect performance. In addition, we study insect responses to plant defenses, such as insect behavior and digestive proteases in the gut.
