Selection and development of high-affinity DNA/RNA aptamers via Bio-SELEX and in silico modeling for point-of-care (PoC) infectious disease diagnostics, lateral flow assays (LFA), and optical/electrochemical biosensors targeting cell-surface proteins and virulence factors.
I'm looking for

Sponsored research collaborations, co-development partnerships, and licensing opportunities to integrate custom aptamers into rapid point-of-care diagnostic devices, microfluidic systems, and biosensor platforms for infectious pathogens and multidrug-resistant targets.
About
I am a biotechnology researcher specializing in aptamer selection and biosensor development for infectious and non-infectious diseases. As coordinator of Baltymas Lab at the Instituto Colombiano de Medicina Tropical and General Coordinator of REDIBA, my work combines Bio-SELEX, in silico modeling, and point-of-care assay design, including lateral flow strips and electrochemical biosensors. My track record includes a granted patent for E. histolytica aptamers (MX 432261 B) and three active patent pipelines: rapid amebiasis diagnostics, glaucoma detection, and bovine semen sexing. I seek industrial partnerships and licensing to scale synthetic aptamers into point-of-care tools.
