Justin Notestein holds issued US patents with Dow and Toyota and leads projects within Department of Energy and National Science Foundation centers. He was the director of Northwestern University's Institute for Catalysis in Energy Processes. He is active in all forms of catalysis, with an eye on advancing materials for selective oxidation and low‑carbon chemicals and fuels.
