Rui Campos works across wireless networking to extend broadband beyond existing infrastructure. The work designs and evaluates aerial and maritime/underwater networks (UAV-based, tethered platforms, mesh) and develops traffic‑aware planning, centralized/predictive routing, and gateway placement. It also addresses interworking across heterogeneous networks and is validated with trace‑based simulation and sea trials.
