INESC TEC is a private, non-profit research and technology organization operating across multiple sites in Northern Portugal and closely linked to the University of Porto. Structured as an interface institution, it connects academia, companies and public agencies through contract research, collaborative development, advanced consulting and training. Co-located labs, multi-site testbeds and pilot-scale demonstrators enable rapid prototyping and validation, while researcher secondments and co-creation models keep projects embedded with industry. Research is supported by competitive European and Portuguese funding programs alongside significant industry-sponsored work. A dedicated technology transfer function manages IP and licensing and supports spin-off creation and pre-incubation.
