We are a research group in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Our research interest lies in surface and interfacial science, with a focus on fundamental understanding of interfacial phenomena as well as development of novel functional coating/surfaces. Particular areas of interest include PFAS-free liquid-repellent surfaces, slippery coatings, omniphobic membranes, patterned surfaces, stimuli-responsive surfaces, and anti-/de-icing coatings.
