Xi Huang, professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the Department of Food Nutrition and Health, Huazhong Agricultural University, Standing Director of the Asian Egg Association. Her research focuses on the discovery of functional active components (proteins, lipids and peptides) from poultry eggs, elucidation of their action mechanisms, and development of novel egg-based products. She has presided over more than 20 research projects, including 2 National Key R&D Program, 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects. She has published 84 SCI papers in the field of egg science. She holds 18 authorized invention patents issued by China, the United States. In 2021, she received the American Egg Board Research Award from the Poultry Science Association (PSA) of the United States.
