Dr. Yulin Hu is an Assistant Professor in Sustainable Design Engineering at UPEI. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Western University and leads the Atlantic Net Zero Energy System Lab, focusing on biomass conversion and value-added bioproducts. She has published over 65 papers with 3,200+ citations and was listed among Stanford’s Top 2% Scientists (2023–2025). Her work is well supported by industry and government, with over $1M in funding.
