Symrise is seeking research organizations and clinical partners in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region with the capabilities to design and conduct human clinical studies assessing health and functional benefits of nutritional products.

Background

Symrise is a global supplier of health, nutrition, and wellness solutions, including functional ingredients that support various aspects of human health. We develop products targeting multiple consumer-relevant areas such as digestive health, immune function, metabolic support, cognitive function, joint and muscle health, oral care, and skin wellness. To ensure scientific credibility and meet regional regulatory and marketing requirements, we aim to conduct in-region clinical studies in APAC populations that reflect the intended consumer base.

We are currently expanding our network of qualified partners in the APAC region to support clinical human studies that evaluate satisfaction, efficacy, and functional health outcomes of our nutritional products. These studies may range from short-term assessments to longer-term interventions, depending on the health endpoint of interest.

Our ideal collaborators will be experienced in managing trials in healthy or at-risk adult populations, capable of handling protocol design or adaptation, and well-versed in local regulatory and ethics submission processes. All work must follow the International Council for Harmonisation – Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) standards and prioritize participant safety and data quality.

What we're looking for

We are looking for clinical research partners based in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region with infrastructure and expertise to conduct human studies that evaluate the health benefits of functional nutrition products. Ideal partners should be able to support end-to-end clinical execution, including study planning, protocol development, subject recruitment, regulatory and ethics submissions to competent authorities, study conduct, data collection and analysis, and final reporting.

Relevant study designs may include post-prandial response studies that measure biomarkers or validated health endpoints, bioavailability and absorption assessments, and sensory or hedonic response evaluations that explore taste, mouthfeel, and satisfaction. Additionally, we welcome approaches that incorporate consumer-reported outcome measures to capture perceived benefits related to mood, digestion, energy levels, and product experience in real-life usage. We are particularly interested in studies assessing the effects associated with the regular use of functional ingredients that focus on any of the areas of health relevance described below.

Hi Arnaud, please expect additional proposals from the University of Melbourne for more areas. Our researchers collaborate well. Excellent consumer research capability, should we submit separately?

Dear Michele, thank you for your question. I'm only interested by clinical studies capabilities and not consumer studies capabilities. Best regards, Arnaud
