Nestlé Health Science is seeking subject matter experts who specialize in developing and testing dietary solutions aimed at supporting cardiovascular health during the perimenopausal and menopausal stages.

Background

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death globally, with its prevalence increasing significantly with age. Over two-thirds of individuals aged 60 and above are estimated to be affected worldwide.

Our company specializes in nutritional solutions aimed at proactive health management. We have several product lines designed to support healthy aging in women, such as Boost, Solgar, and Pure Encapsulation. Despite these offerings, we recognize a gap in heart health solutions for key demographics, particularly healthy aging women in the perimenopausal and menopausal phases (ages 40+).

Committed to empowering healthier lives and bringing the latest advances in nutrition to the world, we are seeking researchers developing innovative dietary solutions that ensure healthy women can age gracefully without developing heart issues. The ideal partner would have robust clinical programs to test novel nutritional ingredients. However, we are also open to collaborating with researchers who possess promising pre-clinical data on dietary solutions targeting the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in women aged 40-45+.

What we're looking for

We are looking to expand our network of experts focused on innovative nutritional solutions for heart health in healthy aging women. We are specifically interested in researchers developing novel nutrients or formulations with proven or potential effectiveness in supporting heart health during the perimenopausal and menopausal stages. Our goal is to collaborate with leading universities and organizations within 1-2 years to test these solutions and bring them to broader use.

Topics of interest
  • Novel nutritional ingredients targeting cardiovascular health

  • Age-specific nutrient blends supporting heart health in women

  • Impact of nutrients/dietary solutions on cardiovascular health during perimenopause & post menopause

  • Nutritional genomics and its impact on heart health in aging women

Required qualifications
  • Experience with cardiovascular health research with focus on perimenopausal and menopausal stages

  • Experience with development of nutritional solutions for women's health

  • Experience with pre-clinical models aimed at testing the efficacy of novel nutrients in cardiovascular disease prevention

Nice-to-have
We're open to experts who have experience with:
  • Clinical translation of research findings

  • Clinical trials that validate efficacy claims of dietary solutions

  • Development of nutritional solutions for general healthy aging

What's out of scope
  • Researchers focused primarily on the development of pharmaceutical compounds

  • Researchers focused on hereditary or congenital cardiovascular diseases rather than general heart health and common age-related cardiovascular conditions

Expert location
  • Accepting applications from experts based in all countries

We have a new proteomics technology to quantify angiotensins from a finger stick in under one hour in collaboration with a leading cardiovascular group at Cedars Sinai. Might our technologies suit this call?

At this moment, we are not interested in diagnostic tools for cardiovascular disease. We are more focused on nutrition-focused solutions to improve cardiovascular function, especially during perimenopause & post menopause. If you have any relevant technology on this, we would love to review and further discuss.

I submitted a proposal to Halo on menopausal symptoms, but the same proposal could also be used for heart health since the Membrane Lipid Replacement supplement NTFactor® Lipids can also be used for heart health. Can you access this proposal? The same publications would be useful support for heart health.
