Introducing panthenol citrate, a novel and gentle antimicrobial molecule derived from natural compounds, designed for skin applications. It promotes healing and reduces inflammation, offering a healthier skin microbiome. Seeking partners for formulation and manufacturing.

Overview

Panthenol citrate is a groundbreaking antimicrobial molecule designed for biological applications, particularly in skincare. Derived from natural components, panthenol and citric acid, it offers a gentle yet effective solution for combating bacteria while promoting skin health. Its unique anti-inflammatory properties facilitate improved wound healing and support a healthier skin microbiome, setting it apart from conventional antimicrobials.

Technical specifications

Panthenol citrate has been validated through porcine wound models, demonstrating its safety and efficacy in promoting healing. Currently, in-depth analyses are being conducted to determine its antimicrobial activity against bacteria such as S. aureus, E. coli, and P. aeruginosa, which will inform its optimal concentration for skin wash formulations. Future studies include infected animal models to further assess its in vivo antimicrobial properties.

Technology readiness level

The technology is currently at TRL 4, having been validated in laboratory settings with ongoing studies to expand its application potential. The research team is actively seeking partnerships to aid in formulation development and manufacturing, aiming to transition towards commercial readiness.
