Automated, ai-enabled platform for molecular discovery & translation

Facilities & testing
University

We develop automated, AI-enabled workflows that combine high-throughput liquid handling, next-generation sequencing, and plate-based assays to interrogate molecular and cellular systems. Methodologies include transcriptomic profiling, perturbation-based experiments, and cell-based phenotypic assays, designed to generate structured, scalable datasets for downstream modeling and analysis. Automation ensures rapid scalability, reproducibility and enables rapid iteration across experimental conditions.

Our platform integrates Hamilton automated liquid handling, Illumina sequencing, and multimode plate readers, supporting end-to-end experimental execution and data acquisition. We generate high-dimensional datasets including gene expression profiles and phenotypic readouts. Performance is evaluated through metrics such as assay robustness, reproducibility, throughput, and data quality, enabling partners to derive actionable insights and reduce risk in discovery and translation.

About Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Worcester Polytechnic Institute is a private, STEM-focused research university in Worcester, Massachusetts, with a collaborative, applied research culture. Industry partners engage through co-located laboratories, advanced prototyping spaces, and testbeds in a nearby research and technology park, with options to colocate personnel. A project-based curriculum routes sponsored challenges into capstone and graduate practicums, accelerating cycles from concept to demonstration while building a reliable hiring pipeline. Research is supported by competitive federal funding from agencies such as the National Science Foundation and the Department of Defense, with additional support from health and energy agencies.
