BioBond Adhesives, Inc. introduces a biobased pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) designed for fake fingernail applications. This innovative adhesive is composed of 55% to 60% biobased materials, ensuring a sustainable alternative to traditional adhesives. The product is engineered to be cost-effective and easy to apply, either by end-users or manufacturers, with a peel-off paper backing for convenience. Notably, it exhibits strong holding power without the need for UV curing and allows for easy residue removal, enhancing user experience.

Technology readiness level

The biobased pressure sensitive adhesive is currently at Technology Readiness Level 4 (TRL 4), with plans to progress to TRL 5 through further testing and validation. BioBond has a robust product development process in place, aiming for pilot and production scale-up by mid-2025.
