Additive Innovations has technical expertise and experience in a particular modality of three dimensional (3D) printing known as binder jetting. Our team has been exploring application-based outputs using binder jetting in nutrition, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical verticals. Our work performed to-date has led us to introduce novel printing hardware that is specifically focused on lab scale pharmaceutical-grade applications.

Why binder jetting? - binder jetting provides a clear pathway to users in the pharma space that want to work with existing, unmodified materials in a controlled environment, combined with expansive capabilities in tablet architecture design and dosage accuracy. This opens the door for:

  • Exploration of prior formulations that failed to meet commercial goals
  • New formulation development and tablet architectures to achieve a specific desired result in a lab setting with a rapid feedback loop
  • Opportunities to explore personalized medicine with precision dosing capabilities

We are able to provide the following to new partners:

  • Hardware acquisition for captive discovery
  • Printing-as-a-service capabilities via our internal lab
  • Formulation consulting focused specifically on material compatibility, tablet design and printing techniques and development
