UPP is a system-level ingredient company that converts under-utilised brassica crops — starting with broccoli stem and stalk — into specification-grade, non-allergenic protein and fibre ingredients (Prota, Fiba, Bynda) for mainstream food manufacturers.
The proposition is built for procurement and reformulation teams, with no novel-food risk: ingredients are non-novel, drop-in compatible at 4–30% inclusion, free of the UK/EU 14 declarable allergens, and supported by an independent LCA at <0.25 kg CO₂e/kg.
We are certificated as BRCGS Grade A (GFSI recognised). Year-round multi-tonne daily capacity is in place with a stated scale-up roadmap from 1,000 to 10,000 tpa, with 12 month per year feedstock supply (UK/Spain feedstock) and stable pricing.
Target applications include hybrid meat, plant-based prepared foods, sauces, soups, bakery and pasta — the categories where Tier-1 manufacturers most need clean-label protein and fibre with minimal reformulation friction.

UPP (Upcycled Plant Power Ltd) is a B2B food technology and ingredients company that transforms agricultural vegetable side-streams, such as broccoli, into functional, clean-label plant protein and fibre ingredients. The company utilizes proprietary automation, including its Harvesta robotic technology, to secure and process underutilized biomass into specification-grade ingredients. These products are designed for seamless integration into existing food manufacturing processes, enabling producers to enhance nutrition and sustainability profiles in categories like plant-based prepared foods, sauces, soups, bakery, and pasta, without requiring significant technical reformulation.
By focusing on system-level impact, UPP provides food manufacturers with a strategy to decarbonize supply chains and meet sustainability goals while ensuring cost-stability and supply reliability. The company addresses the challenge of food waste and harvest labor shortages by converting field-level waste into value-added ingredients. With a focus on regulatory compliance and food safety standards, UPP supports Tier-1 producers through a scalable, modular infrastructure approach that aims to deliver high-quality, allergen-free components to the global food market.
