LatherLogic is a patent-pending refill-first shower dispensing platform designed to replace repeated rigid shampoo, conditioner, body-wash, and other personal-care bottles with one durable installed system and individually replaceable product refills.
The core model is simple: keep the appliance, replace the product. Multiple refill packs or cartridges connect to a centralized dispenser, allowing users to replace only the product that runs out rather than purchasing another complete rigid bottle. Future refill formats could use lightweight flexible packaging, including PCR-content materials where technically and commercially appropriate.
The platform is intended to combine packaging reduction with consumer convenience. Potential features include controlled dosing, touchscreen product selection, refill-level monitoring, low-product alerts, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity, usage tracking, and automatic replenishment. The same core architecture could support residential bathrooms, hotels and resorts, multifamily housing, dormitories, gyms, spas, and other managed facilities.
Commercially, LatherLogic could support an installed-base model in which durable hardware is paired with recurring branded, private-label, or subscription refills—a personal-care equivalent of other successful durable-device/replaceable-consumable ecosystems.
Development to date: professional native CAD and engineering files; enclosure and component-layout development; defined multi-product dispensing architecture; digital functional prototype; control-system simulation; technical feasibility and component analysis; product renderings and commercialization materials. U.S. Utility Patent Application No. 19/809,947 is pending. Current readiness is approximately TRL 3.
The next stage is physical bench validation, refill-pack and connector development, fluid testing with real personal-care products, materials/seal validation, design-for-manufacture, and pilot testing. I am seeking licensing, co-development, sponsored engineering/research, and pilot partners with capabilities in personal care, dispensing, sustainable packaging, consumer hardware, manufacturing, or hospitality. The objective is to place LatherLogic with an established organization capable of completing development and commercialization rather than build a standalone manufacturing company.
LatherLogic is a patent-pending shower dispensing platform designed to consolidate personal-care products like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash into a single, durable, hanging system. The device attaches to a standard shower head and uses a series of compact, replaceable QuickSwap Eco Pouches containing 44% post-consumer recycled content to deliver precise, metered doses of product. By replacing traditional plastic bottles with these lightweight pouches, the system aims to reduce plastic waste and eliminate product overuse through a user-selectable lather interface. The design is intended for easy installation in homes, hotels, and gyms without the need for drilling or permanent hardware.
This technology addresses significant environmental and consumer challenges by minimizing bathroom clutter, reducing single-use plastic consumption, and preventing product waste from over-pouring. Designed for both the consumer and hospitality markets, the platform supports a potential subscription or refill model that provides a cleaner, more organized shower experience. The venture is currently seeking an established partner to handle engineering, manufacturing, and commercialization, as it remains in the concept and development phase. The project has received recognition as a finalist for the 2026 Green Concept Award.
