Pickeringup - novel emulsion platform for enhanced biological insect control

PickeringUp is a proprietary emulsion-based formulation platform designed to improve the stability, protection, and performance of biological insect-control agents. The platform addresses key limitations of biological products, particularly their sensitivity to environmental conditions and limited persistence under agricultural conditions. Two products are currently being developed based on the platform.

MetaUP is an advanced formulation of entomopathogenic fungi for biological insect control. The formulation protects the fungal agent and improves its stability and performance under challenging environmental conditions. MetaUP has demonstrated promising efficacy in greenhouse trials against major agricultural pests, including whiteflies, Tuta absoluta, and mites, with improved performance compared with the unformulated biological agent. The platform can potentially be applied to additional entomopathogenic fungi, creating opportunities for a broader portfolio of biological crop-protection products.

NemaUP is an advanced emulsion formulation for entomopathogenic nematodes. The formulation protects the nematodes from environmental stresses and improves their survival and performance. NemaUP has demonstrated enhanced protection and survival under challenging conditions and is ready to progress to field validation.

We are seeking an established crop-protection or biologicals company to work with us on scale-up, field validation and product optimization, followed by regulatory development and commercialization. We are open to licensing and other strategic partnership structures.
