The state-of-the-art Plant Sciences Building on North Carolina State University’s Centennial Campus serves as the home of the N.C. PSI, providing infrastructure, equipment, and expertise to enable advanced plant science research. The N.C. PSI Seed2Grow startup program and associated AgTech Incubator in the Plant Sciences Building provide resources to university-affiliated startup companies to help them launch and grow. Made possible through partnering with Bayer, the Seed2Grow AgTech Incubator will open its doors to one startup company of any provenance, with no advanced affiliation with NC State University being required. The selected startup will gain access to lab and office space, shared equipment, and direct connection to the exciting innovation ecosystem of N.C. PSI, Research Triangle Park (RTP), and NC State University higher education community, along with Bayer’s global innovator network.
By funding 12 months of access to the N.C. PSI Seed2Grow AgTech Incubator for the awarded startup, Bayer will support and accelerate the advancement of innovative ideas and technologies with potential to reduce the environmental impact of modern agriculture while increasing productivity. Note that this program covers the cost of space use only, and the awarded startup must agree to standard terms and conditions for occupancy. Startups from any location are eligible to apply, but team members must travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to access the lab space as desired and Bayer cannot provide visa sponsorship.
Bayer’s vision of #HealthForAll, #HungerForNone drives our need to strengthen innovation capabilities in all areas of agriculture. We know we can’t accomplish this alone, so we're always interested to hear about novel, early-stage scientific innovations that can contribute to feeding the world without starving the planet. You have our commitment to take a look, match with our R&D priorities and provide you timely feedback.
With 100 faculty affiliates from nine North Carolina State University colleges, the N.C.
