ESPOL is a public polytechnic university in Guayaquil with a strong applied‑research culture and a technology‑driven mission serving Ecuador’s coastal industrial hub. Industry partners access a 200‑hectare Special Economic Development Zone on the main campus, with road, port, and airport links that enable co‑location, light manufacturing, and pilot‑scale testing near research teams. The university’s PARCON research and technology park clusters institutional R&D centers and shared labs, including marine and aquaculture facilities, to support contract research, validation, and scale‑up.
