Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is a large, STEM-focused public research institute and an Institute of National Importance, with about 8,600 students and a 285-hectare campus in North Guwahati. Its adjacent research park gives companies space to work alongside faculty and students, with access to institute laboratories, high-end equipment, and collaborative R&D opportunities. A dedicated Industrial Interactions and Special Initiatives office coordinates consultancy, industry-funded research, short courses, entrepreneurship, and institutional agreements. Research is supported by major Indian government agencies including DST, DBT, SERB, DRDO, BRNS, and ICMR, as well as industry partners. An IPR cell and technology-licensing function support commercialization.
