DOE national laboratory in Los Alamos, New Mexico, with national user facilities, high-performance computing, advanced testing, a research park, and technology-transfer infrastructure. Industry access is enabled through user agreements, CRADAs, and licensing pathways.
Los Alamos National Laboratory is a large, multidisciplinary U.S. Department of Energy research laboratory in northern New Mexico, operated for the National Nuclear Security Administration. National user facilities give academic, government, and industrial researchers structured access to specialized instrumentation, computing, and testing through proprietary or nonproprietary agreements. The Los Alamos Research Park and collaborations with universities and industry provide additional channels for applied R&D. Research is funded primarily by DOE and NNSA, with support from other federal agencies. A dedicated technology-transfer function supports intellectual-property protection, licensing, CRADAs, and commercialization.
