Universidade de Passo Fundo

Universidade de Passo Fundo (UPF) is a large, community-based private research university founded in 1968, with seven campuses, more than 60 undergraduate programs, and a strong regional role. Its multicampus structure gives companies access to faculty, students, laboratories, and practical facilities across northern Rio Grande do Sul. The UPF Parque scientific and technology park connects research with startups, resident companies, collaborative R&D, and innovation challenges, while UPFTec supports university–industry engagement, intellectual property, technology transfer, and external funding. Research is supported by CAPES, CNPq, Finep, Fapergs, SDECT, and private partners.
