Universität Bern

Universität Bern is a large, comprehensive public research university in Switzerland, with nearly 20,000 students and a strongly international, research-intensive character. Its close relationship with Inselspital, Bern University Hospital, creates a shared clinical and translational environment for moving research toward patient care. The Bernese medical campus connects university units with sitem-insel, industry, start-ups, and applied-research partners, while clinical research services support studies from planning through dissemination. Research is funded primarily by the Swiss National Science Foundation, with additional support from Innosuisse and EU research programs. Unitectra supports IP protection, industry agreements, licensing, and commercialization.
