University of New Brunswick

The University of New Brunswick is a comprehensive public research university with two campuses in Fredericton and Saint John. Industry engages through an adjacent innovation district and research park that co-locate companies with UNB labs, and through established co-op programs connecting employers to student and graduate talent. A centralized Office of Research Services links companies with faculty expertise, negotiates agreements, and supports knowledge and technology transfer; UNB’s policy is generally inventor-owned IP, enabling flexible partnerships. Research is supported by competitive federal funding from Canada’s Tri-Agency programs and the Canada Foundation for Innovation. Partnerships with the provincial hospital network enable clinical collaboration.
