University of Tehran

University of Tehran is a very large, comprehensive public research university and Iran’s flagship institution, located in central Tehran. Industry engages through the University of Tehran Science & Technology Park, which supports commercialization and connects academic research with economic sectors. On-campus innovation facilities and incubation services provide pathways for prototyping and venture formation close to faculty labs. Research is sustained by competitive national funding, including the Iran National Science Foundation, which recently reported the university led the country by number of approved projects. A dedicated technology transfer office supports IP management, licensing, and startup formation for industry collaborations.
