University of Windsor

The University of Windsor is a comprehensive public research university at the Canadian–U.S. border in Windsor, Ontario. Industry engages through co-op programs that place students year-round and through on-campus prototyping and testing facilities for collaborative development. Its cross-border position provides direct access to the Windsor–Detroit mobility and advanced manufacturing corridor, enabling binational partnerships and convenient site visits. Research is supported by competitive funding from Canada’s Tri‑Council agencies and the Canada Foundation for Innovation, alongside provincial programs and industry sponsorship. A dedicated technology transfer office provides IP support, streamlined research agreements, and startup services to move concepts into the market.
