We are a team of research microbiologists and chemists at Utah State University and the Utah Agricultural Experiment Station located in Logan, Utah. We discover bioactive natural products made by microbes or uncover previously discovered ones that look attractive. We design methods for their scalable production, decipher their structures, often modify them, and determine their mechanisms of action. Our goal is to sustainably make microbial natural products that address important problems in agriculture and medicine.
