Our platform captures translating mRNA profiles (translatomic data) in response to drugs from different organs. This is useful to understand the safety and efficacy of drugs on different organs to decode on-targets, off-targets, toxicity, pathway and biomarkers for these drugs to enable decision making at the pre-clinical stage of a drug development. Although this specifically helps discover drugs targeting mRNA translation into proteins on ribosomes, we can use it for other drugs against different targets as well.
We have tested this platform against certain drugs to capture their effects on targets and biomarkers in a neurological condition. The platform is ready for screening drugs against brain, heart and eye related disorders.
Translatale Biosystems is a biotechnology company founded in 2022 and headquartered in Bangalore, India. The company focuses on drug discovery by targeting ribosomes and mRNA translation processes. It has developed a platform that integrates experimental techniques and data-driven approaches to screen and identify small molecules capable of modulating mRNA translation. By focusing on these fundamental biological mechanisms, Translatale aims to address unmet medical needs in fields such as oncology, neurodegenerative conditions, and rare diseases.
This technology provides researchers and pharmaceutical partners with tools to evaluate the effects of drugs on protein synthesis, serving as a platform for early-stage drug development. The company works to bridge the gap between preclinical research and clinical applications, utilizing approaches like zebrafish xenografts to create patient avatars for personalized and precision medicine. The company is led by its founders, Gnaneshwar Yadav and Saurabh Mahajan, and has been supported by various incubation programs and grants, including from DBT-BIRAC-BIG and IIMB-NSRCEL, to advance its research and development initiatives.
