Horizon europe co-applicant: nasal-fluid sampling & multi-omics data partner for respiratory biomarker consortia

Grant collaboration opportunity
Company

We're seeking to join and help build Horizon Europe Cluster 1 (Health) consortia for the 2027 calls, particularly proposals around predictive biomarkers of treatment response (HLTH-2027-02-TOOL-01), portable point-of-care diagnostics (IND-02), and innovative interventions for non-communicable diseases (DISEASE-01). We're also open to EIT Health and IHI opportunities.

What we're looking for: Consortium coordinators and partners developing respiratory/airway proposals who need a sampling, biomarker or data partner - including EU academic cohort holders, biobanks, clinical centres, data-science/AI groups and industry partners.

What we bring: Diag-Nose provides a standardised biological sampling and downstream multi-omics data-generation layer for clinical and translational research. Our ABEL microsampler (FDA-listed, ARTG-registered) collects undiluted nasal fluid for molecular analysis, while NEBULA, our harmonised multi-omics data architecture, connects molecular, clinical and biological data across studies for biomarker discovery, endotyping and treatment-response research. We bring peer-reviewed nasal-fluid biomarker methods, a ~1,200-patient respiratory cohort spanning asthma, COPD and chronic rhinosinusitis, multiple ongoing clinical studies, pharma-sponsored study experience and an established IP portfolio. This positions us to contribute to or lead work packages spanning biological sampling, biomarker generation/validation and data integration. Proof-of-concept work also extends into infectious disease, environmental/allergen exposure and occupational health.

Roles & timeline: Open to consortium partner roles, including technical/data partner and work-package contributor or lead, as well as appropriate subcontracted or subaward arrangements. Consortia are forming now ahead of partner lock-in around November 2026, with first-stage submissions in April 2027. We welcome early conversations with coordinators shaping proposals.

As an Australian entity expected to participate directly in Horizon Europe from January 2027, Diag-Nose will be able to participate in and lead eligible Pillar II collaborative projects.

About Diag-Nose.io

Diag-Nose.io is a biotechnology company founded in 2020 that develops precision medicine solutions for respiratory healthcare. The company utilizes a proprietary technology platform called RhinoMAP, which combines nasal liquid biopsies collected via their patented ABEL Microsampler device with advanced proteomics, computational biology, and AI-driven machine learning algorithms. This approach aims to decode the biology of the unified airway—the relationship between the lungs and nasal passages—to provide clinicians with actionable insights into respiratory disease progression and treatment efficacy, particularly regarding anti-Th2 biologics.

The company addresses significant gaps in traditional respiratory care, where treatment decisions are often based on subjective symptoms rather than molecular endotypes, frequently leading to ineffective therapies and prolonged patient distress. By enabling objective, omics-grade biomarker analysis, Diag-Nose.io seeks to reduce side effects, accelerate the development of new lifesaving medicines, and improve treatment adherence for conditions like chronic sinusitis and asthma. Headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, the company has secured FDA listing for its sampling device and completed the global Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) program, underscoring its commitment to bringing rigorous, data-backed precision tools to global clinical and research markets.
