Bayer’s Co.Lab Cambridge is specifically designed to support cutting-edge technologies in oncology, cardiovascular and renal diseases, and immunology, across therapeutic modalities, but with a specific focus on cell and gene therapies (CGT) for central nervous system (CNS) and rare diseases. Bayer Co.Lab offers entrepreneurs access to Bayer’s enterprise-wide expertise, along with state-of-the-art laboratory and office space.
Startups applying for this opportunity should already have part or all of their operations based in the Boston area, or be prepared to establish a presence and conduct work onsite at Bayer Co.Lab Cambridge, if selected.
What we're looking for
- Precision oncology: small molecules, biologics, RNA targeting therapy, and radiopharmaceuticals, preferably targeting solid tumors or linked to biomarkers or genetic alterations leading to better efficacy or safety
- Precision cardiology or precision nephrology: any modalities, with a preference for strong linkage to the biomarkers or genetical alterations leading to better efficacy or safety
- Tissue targeting solutions: novel targets, AAV- or nanoparticle-based tissue targeting solutions
- CNS and aging-related diseases: cell and gene therapy as preferred modality
- Immunology: small molecules and biologics, preferably with strong evidence linking them to a specific medical condition or disease
- Accepting applications from startups based in all countries

In addition to our U.S. presence, Co.Lab has expanded its global reach to include three additional locations in Berlin, Shanghai, and Kobe, further enhancing our commitment to supporting life science innovation worldwide.
